Abstract

In 2017 a proposal to establish European Monetary Fund (EMF) was formulated to provide financial stability support to euro area member states. The article analyses the institutional issues behind the EMF regulations regarding its organization and functioning. The author also presents and assesses the main assumptions about the EMF, taking into account the arguments used in the European debate on this proposal. (original abstract)
